Easy AI Prompt Library is a Chrome browser extension that helps you save, organize, and insert reusable prompts into AI chat interfaces such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude. It is designed as a personal productivity tool that runs entirely within your browser.

This extension does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, telemetry, or any other data from you or your browser. There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, no login, and no authentication of any kind.

3. Data Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

Prompts — Titles, content, categories, tags, creation dates, and usage counts for prompts you save
Settings — Your category list, trigger character preference, keyboard shortcut configuration, and list of AI sites where the floating button appears

This data is stored entirely on your local machine. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. You can export your data as a JSON file at any time, and you can delete all data by removing the extension.

4. Data We Do Not Collect

Personal information (name, email, address, phone number)
Browsing history or browsing activity
Website content or page data
Authentication tokens, cookies, or session data
Keystrokes, form inputs, or chat messages

5. Permissions and Why We Need Them

contextMenus	Adds the "Save to Prompt Library" option to your right-click menu when you highlight text.
activeTab	Allows the extension to paste a selected prompt into the chat input on the current page and to display overlay UI (save form, search picker, floating button).
clipboardWrite	Copies the selected prompt to your clipboard as a backup when you insert a prompt.
Host permission (all URLs)	Required so the right-click save feature and keyboard shortcut work on any webpage. The extension does not read or collect page content — it only injects its own UI overlays.

6. Third-Party Services

None. This extension does not use any third-party services, APIs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external servers. There is no remote code execution. All code runs locally within the extension package.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any data with any third party. Since we do not collect data, there is nothing to share.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your prompt library and settings are stored locally in your browser for as long as the extension is installed. You can:

Export your data at any time as a JSON file using the built-in export feature
Delete individual prompts from within the extension
Delete all data by uninstalling the extension from Chrome, which removes all locally stored data

9. Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the extension collects no personal information from any user, this is inherently satisfied.

10. Security

All data is stored using Chrome's built-in storage API, which is sandboxed to the extension and inaccessible to other extensions or websites. No data is transmitted over the network, so there is no risk of interception.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Since the extension does not collect email addresses, we cannot notify users directly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
